When husband and wife, Alex and Christine, decided to settle down in Albuquerque, New Mexico, they made a commitment to see the best in it. Despite growing up there, they both left to live in other states, only to return with an even greater appreciation for the city, its people, and the simple desert lifestyle.

The idea of The Garden Company started at a rainy window in a local cafe when the couple dreamt up a brand centered around creating rest in the middle of a busy world. Instead of referring to a physical garden, this Garden would represent a refreshed perspective - a choice to build an oasis in the desert. 

The Garden can exist wherever and whenever you make it. Is the moment that your mindset changes. It is the place you enter empty, but leave filled. It is the person you try to be around because they lift your spirits. It is a cup of coffee on a rainy day, and a decision to choose life even amongst a season of wilderness. The Garden, in its simplest form, is a decision to slow down and enjoy the simple blessings in life.

After studying the properties of coffee and roasting techniques for several years, Alex decided to put his recipes to the test when The Garden Company officially opened in July of 2022. Today, The Garden Company provides its specialty coffee to several local coffee shops and is dedicated to upholding its reputation for creativity, quality, and approachability.
